Comic Fiesta [part 1(McL POV)]~*

Well then lets start with describing the beginning of that day. First thing I was going to mv to find rukia's gloves or zenpaku(impossible)... All this was done after lunch. What a dissapointment there was no rukia's glove at anime tech >"<. Rushing home I realised it was already 2 something! and i'm supposed to go to sr's house by 2 something that shows how late I am. Hurried and wear make up and rush to sr's hs. By the time I reached it was 3. Yesh it was late... Then hurriedly wore the outfit. Since i had no gel in the house I tried hairspray and guess what it didn't last.My hair still undone I tried sr's bro gel.. too bad it isn't the hardening gel.. I guess it's the kind that helps make hair oily?!? haha just jkin.

Sr's costume made her look oh just so adorable!! and the easily flying skirt.. ho ho ho. Remember to pose that pic sr.. gahahaha~* There's was one pic her friend took and her skirt was *uhm* flying? lol. Ok enough of teasing. When we reached the comic fiesta venue, both of us were a little worried that we would feel awkward. Finally reaching the hall area we were relieved that there was actually alot of cosplayers there! There were tons of booths by doujinshi groups( armature manga = doujinshi) . I was looking for the kamcao booth( a doujinshi group my friend is in) and bought an artwork. To be honest I don't know what sr bought... we we're just enjoying the cosplay buzz and wandering where cy was ~_~. These is the free time we took pictures of other cosplayers. ^^~*

Then the mc's started entertaining by having these little activities cosplayers can join. First up was 6 cosplayers who volunteered will be paired up and fight against each other. One was a guy in heavy brown armour which sr mentioned as milo tin cans? The opponent was a guy wearing a yellow tv on his head. He was extremely hilarious because he was supposed to be a mac computer or the power of media. hahaha. If not mistaken the armoured guy won the prize. Also this tv guy with head phones around the tv ( who actually is creative as doesn't have fighting capabilities) managed to finish of one of his opponents by pointing at one direction and using his head to bang the person. harh power of the media?

Later on sr and her friend excitedly volunteered to join the dancing activity! When her turn came up some people where shouting kamichu! Her cosplay was defined unique because nobody else was cosplaying from kamichu.She was dancing and twirling (thats when the skirt *uhm*) but no worries sr had protection from the magical black shorts! LOL. I was shooting the video of her dancing. Luckily someone helped me on he damn camera. I was frantically trying to catch your eye because i didn't know how to turn it on.

Comic Fiesta! (Part 1, SR's POV)

Right, I'm gonna write my POV here, and Mish will write hers later.

We reached Sek. Sri Sedaya at about 3.20pm. I can remember Mish's nervousness and Ling's (my friend who followed us to CF) excitement. At first, we thought we would be the only weirdoes who cosplayed in CF; apparently, it turned out that lots of people cosplay too! We saw Tifa, and lots of others.

We reached there and bought tickets. We're lucky then the one-day ticket line is sooo fast. On the other hand, the line to pre-order tickets are so long. We rushed to register for the cosplay competition after we bought the tickets, and met some er... Kingdom Hearts dude. I forgot his name, but he sure looked cool, so I took a photo with him.



Later, we went to the dressing room to spike up Mish's hair, making her more Rukia-like. It was kinda hard coz, though the 3 of us have read/watch Bleach, we have forgotten the structure of Rukia's hair! Still, lots of people comment how Mish really looks like Rukia, and most of them cheered for her in the musical square event (details later).

It was really crowded inside the hall, but Mish and I managed to steal a snapshot of us.



Hmm, it would really take up LOTS of space and time to write down what exactly happened in CF. I can only tell you the surface matter.

We walked around, taking random piccies of cosplayers which will be shown here later, after I'd managed to upload all of them into my album, that is. There were tons of stage shows, so we sat to watch them.

There was one about asking six (or eight?) cosplayers to come up. Then, they had this battle. One of the man had a TV for a head. 'twas so interesting~ He fought this guy call... Kikumoiji or something, who wore his red armor made out of milo tins. No, don't laugh at him. He got the Best Craftmanship Award. And my suspicion is that this guy is actually 'cikgu'(his nick) in CF forum, who seemed to have lots of experience in cosplaying.

Second one is SSX Dancing, which Ling and I participated as they want 3 pairs (one cosplayer, one normal dude) to come up and dance. I was really trying hard to act shy and nervous... well, the nervous part is real, but the shy is hard to act that I think they thought that I'm really shy onstage when I hid behind Ling. The other cosplayers on stage is Jack the Ripper (took a photo with him) and some random ninja-lookalike girl.

Short convo~ (not really accurate)

MC: So, what's your name?
Me: (hold of the mic) In-char or Out-of-char
MC: In-char
Me: (slids the mic to my mouth) Um... Yurie.
MC: What special powers do you have?
Me: Er... God-like powers.
MC: GOD-LIKE POWERS? (Insert joke here)

(crowd cheers)

Then, before I start dancing.

MC: You did mention you have God-like powers, eh?
Me: Uhuh.
MC: But do you have God-like DANCING powers?
Me: *nervous* Nope, I'm only in charge of the humans.
MC: Ahh, I see... I can lend you my powers, y'know. Do you want it?
Me: (shakes head) Naaah.
MC: Hmm, true. That would be cheating indeed and such a nice little goddess like you wouldn't want to cheat, eh?
Me: Ehe, yeah.
MC: Alrighty, let the dance began!

I simply dance, but though I didn't get any prize, it was fun! ^^'

The next one is musical chairs... or rather, musical SQUARES. It's when the MCs say out the square number (ie. C5, A7 etc.) the cosplayer must step on to proceed to the next rounds. When the music starts, they have to keep hopping, and they cannot stay on the squares for more then 3 seconds. They can only stop when the music stops. The last one who remain wins a Gundam SEED Model set. Seeing how Ling and I participated on the previous event and Mish did not, I pulled her out. I actually wanted to join too, but since it has reached the maximum cosplayer (they needed 6), I let Mish take all the fame.



Above piccie, Mish was standing there, preparing for the BATTLE to start. And yes, CY, this is the chess board, prepared for the chess battle.

At last, the remaining two. Mish and some Gundam SEED pilot cosplayer. They shall fight for the model set! But who shall be the winner? Of course, most of them supported Mish for being Rukia. Some of the fangirls screamed her name, too. No doubt, I support her too. Rukia can kick any pilot's @$$!

And Mish got the prize too, but she wasn't really interested. So she gave it to that Gundam otaku (which is stupid, my bro comments when I told him what happened. He said that you should sell it to him with high price instead).

The next event is a game of 'sit' and 'stand' in an interesting way. Lazy to give details since no one (of our gang) participated, and they said something like "Only for 'Lolita' cosplayers". I STILL don't get it.

Later, there's a choosing for the chess battle Finals.

And I think I wrote enough for a day. Trying to get the piccies upload now.

CFiesta here we come!!!

Well as you all know cf is tomorrow!
Excited yet you guys??
these weeks i've been so busy! bz bz bz
had to go out practically everyday..
do u know how exhausting it is?!
Ok lets see my itenary this week ::
1) go to colleges open day
2)go sr hs to get tailoring done
3)went for planetshakers christian convention!! TOTALLY AWESOME!
4)went for prom (preparation n execution =p)
5)comic fiesta

Well lets see went 2 sr's hs 4 3 times all on different days.. that takes up 3day's of this week.
Then searching for cosplay material... takes time and effort.
the planetshaker's concert!! was so ROCKING!! We all jumped like it was a rock concert!!
That was yesterday nite and my biceps are hurting with a neck ache because of the uncomfortable
position i am when using the comp.... The concert has praise n workship! it was very spiritual, touching
and totally high! lol n I bought 2 t-shirts and a cd. The t-shirts are pretty cool~*
Then well today I went to open houses held by colleges. Let's see 3 colleges today. Last week was 2.

The prom was on monday.. yes such a busy busy week. Now do you understand why I grumble so..
Still such a headache picking out the right college.. I got to make a decision by the end of the week..
which is like 1 or 2 days.......... I'm opting for business and it because thats what my forecast results
stronger points are. Still hard to chose.

Another thing.. I'm pretty broke .. I haven't even had time to go out with friends to watch movies
or karaoke T-T. All the cp and prom budget has cut a big hole in my wallet...
Well this should be the longest update yet?

P.s:: got my broadband connection last tuesday! BANZAI!

Yesterday I went shopping with YR and bought a pair of cool
shoes! Love it! It's maroon in colour with shiny deco~
Supposedly we were supposed 2 be planning our cosplaying designs
instead we end up just playing the comps! although its fun but still
deluding from the main objective of coming here =.=
SPM sucked!! HATE HATE HATE~ Don't ever wanna talk about the
stupid, annoying, aggravating, frustrating, irritating, stressfull exams..
let by gones be by gones~~~

Ho hum!

I feel like a historian, recording a chronology or something. The fact that everyone cannot access to the internet except me is... ABSURB! And according to Michelle, she won't be getting on the World Wide Web soon coz her father refused to get Broadband. Poor dear...

Anyway, SPM isn't over yet. Michelle and Revathi are having their Chemistry exam today. Choi Yan and I have a 2 day break for now. Tomorrow, we'll be having Moral (which is one of the most worthless subject EVER!) and then... SPM is totally over for Rev and Mish. Sub-science class only take Physic, Chemistry, Add Maths and Accounts instead of Biology. In other words, they don't have to sit for Biology on next Monday. Lucky bastards...

Choi Yan and I isn't that lucky. We have to sit for Economics paper on Tuesday AND Wednesday. Which means: SPM ends late for us, and I have pleeeenty of time to study for Economics. Joy.

But things aren't that bad. There are times when SPM can be fun! ^^'

I remember during my Science paper, I had plenty of time left. After going through my papers for the third time, my hand itched to draw. So I succumbed myself to this creativity itch. I drew my Maple Story character, and though it isn't that accurate, but I'm quite satisfied with the picture. After that, I had like, 20 minutes left. I was soooo bored! At last, I've decided that I will challenge myself... by drawing the Invigilator.

It was really, really hard to draw her coz she kept moving, but I somehow managed to drew her. It was just a light sketch, and I anime-fied her. After the exam, I showed it to my friends. They were pretty impressed (at the pic? or at the amount of time I have to draw? I still wonder...). Xiao Li recommended me to show the Invigilator, and though I was a little hesitant, I did show her at the end.

The Invigilator's reaction was "Oh! That's me? That's nice!", followed with a "For me?". I really did not plan to give it to her (my Maple character was on the same paper too!) but... at last, I did. And then...

She left the room with a small smile hanging on her face.

2 days ago, I saw her again. I was taking my Add Math exams, and she was the Invigilator of my class. She spotted me as she was collecting the exam papers, and unexpectantly, she asked, "Oh? No drawings today?"

Guess I'd left an everlasting impression to her~ X3

Michelle just SMS'ed her complaints to me, saying Chemistry is horrible for her. Choi Yan already got her future totally planned out. Everyone seems to have braced for the future.

Am I the only one who decided to wait 'til SPM's over before deciding on my road?

Stressful Days, Strange thoughts

Well well, everyone seems to be under pressure these days.

SPM is drawing near (in fact, it's on the Wednesday!), and everyone's probably working hard, aiming to pass the exams with flying colours. From what I heard, Choi Yan is doing well. She's really studying hard, going through all those long hours of tuition to improve her worst subject, MATHS. Michelle is a little different; she's under pressure because she's torn between two choices : to either study in Australia or local university. Revathi is panicking coz she felt as if she have so many subjects she has yet to study.

As for me? Well, I'm trying really hard not to panic now. My subjects are a so-so. I've absolutely no faith on Sejarah (History) but it'll change. I'm a little out of practice on Maths and Add Maths. I'm leaving Econs and Moral 'til the last minute. Hoping for the best. *sigh*

The future seems foggy. I wonder... one month from now, what's everyone doing? Will Choi Yan really fly to Korea? Is Michelle in Australia? Can Revathi cope in Malaysia? Where will I be?

Time, everything is strange. We may be complaining about the exam stress now, but before we know it, SPM will soon be over, and we'll be talking about the days before SPM. How we suffered, how we smsed each other, how are the restrictions at home, etc. I guess the lesson here is: cherish the moment, cherish the present. There's no turning back to the time when we're still in CHS. We will never ever wear that uniform after SPM.

That means we're gonna face the cruel adult world! Nuuuu~!

Well, since all my friends here are unable to access to the internet, I guess I'll acompany them.

I'll write after SPM~ ^^
